Research Interests

  • High fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Turbulence modeling
  • Optimization of unsteady fluid flow systems
  • Wind turbines and turbo machinery
  • Computational Aeroacoustics (CAA)

Recent Work

My research focuses on the development of harmonic balance adjoint techniques for the design optimization of problems involving aeroacoustic elements. This reduced order methodology makes it possible to incorporate time-dependent flow physics in both analysis and design processes opening room for aeroacoustic analysis at reasonable computational cost. This can benefit different engineering applications like open rotors, high lift systems, rotorcrafts, turbo machinery and wind turbines.
